Torres provided the assist on the opening goal of Houston's 2-1 win over Sporting KC on Saturday.

The 23-year-old was substituted in the 57th minute, but he was still able to make a significant impact in his first start of the season. Torres is a former 15-goal scorer, and he could be a good value option next week versus Real Salt Lake if he remains in the first XI.

Sebastian Giovinco is the easy pick as the top forward for the upcoming MLS season, but Schuyler Redpath and JD Bazzo break down some of their other favorites, and those they think could be overrated.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Torres will not be available for Saturday's match against Vancouver, as he is away on international duty.

Torres has found playing time very hard to come by this season because of the excellent play of Will Bruin, so his absence isn't likely to make many waves in fantasy leagues.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Torres subbed onto the field for 21 minutes against the Galaxy on Saturday but was unable to convert on his two shot attempts, one of which was on goal.

Torres proved that he can create chances during his return to MLS competition on Saturday but also looked a bit rusty as he came up short on a surefire assist opportunity moments before the final whistle blew. He could certainly edge his way into the starting XI by the end of the season, but he’ll have a hard time doing so in the meantime with Will Bruin and Giles Barnes still ahead of Torres on the totem pole for playing time.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Torres is available off the bench for Tuesday's U.S. Open Cup game against Sporting Kansas City.

Torres was recently granted permission by MLS to join Houston after dealing with some legal issues back in Mexico where he was on loan to Guadalajara of Liga MX. He's expected to start in due time, but he'll use Tuesday's game to get acclimated to his new team.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Torres is now eligible to play for the Dynamo under the recent permission of the MLS since his legal issues in Mexico have been closed by local authorities and reviewed by an independent legal firm, reports.

Torres will join the Dynamo for Friday's training session but isn't expected to play in Saturday's game against Real Salt Lake. He spent the last year on loan to Guadalajara of Liga MX and is formerly of Chivas USA during both the 2013 and 2014 seasons. He accumulated 22 goals in 44 MLS starts during that stint with Chivas and should find his way into Houston's starting XI as well in the next couple of weeks.

Torres poured in his fifth goal of the season as Chivas USA drew 1-1 with Portland on Saturday.

Torres is not slowing down, and there is no reason to believe that he will.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Torres scored for the fourth time this season as Chivas USA settled for a heart-breaking 1-1 draw with New York on Sunday.

Torres has a goal in every game this season, and should definitely have wrapped up MLS Player of the Month honors after Sunday's performance.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Torres bagged his third of the season in Saturday's 3-1 loss to FC Dallas.

Torres has scored in every match thus far and is proving to be a real problem for opposing defenses. He should be at the top of your list when putting your lineup together each week.
