Collins found an instant connection with Joe Cole during West Ham's FA Cup match against Manchester United on Saturday, heading home twice from crosses sent in by the recent transfer in the 27th and 59th minutes.

This sudden connection with Cole, who rejoined his old youth club, bodes well for Collins. Only a stoppage time goal from Van Persie prevented West Ham from advancing with the upset. It'll be interesting to see if they can bring out another great defensive performance in the reply on Wednesday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Collins has agreed to a four-year deal with his former club for an undisclosed transfer fee, reports The Guardian.

The transfer deal seems to be a win for all parties involved, as West Ham gets an experienced defender that was well-liked in his previous stint for the Hammers, Aston Villa gets some cash for a player that probably would have left on his own next year, and Collins to return to the club he played in the FA Cup final for in 2006. He'll be competing instantly for a starting role in the center of the defense. At age 28, he's got plenty of good soccer left in him and is more than capable of earning a starting role and keeping it throughout the season.
