Kaka returned to action for the first time in three games Saturday as Orlando City SC played Columbus to a 2-2 draw on the road.

Kaka's first appearance since injuring his calf during Orlando City's 4-0 loss to Dallas on July 4 saw the midfielder both recording two shots (none on goal) and handling a corner kick in the 65th minute which resulted in Kevin Molino turning a battle for a loose ball in front of Columbus goalkeeper Steve Clark into the Lions' opening score of the game. Saturday's fixture also represented the first time in Kaka's MLS career he entered a contest off the bench, with the Brazilian ultimately logging 30 minutes playing time after substituting in for Julio Baptista near the midway point of the second period.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Kaka (calf) is available off the bench Saturday against Columbus.

Kaka had missed the previous three games with the injury, but he has finally recovered enough to be available off the bench. He will likely not have much fantasy value this week coming off the bench, but he will likely resume his starting role next weekend.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Kaka (calf) will play Saturday against Columbus, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Kaka has been out since suffering the injury back on July 4 against Dallas, and he's now missed 10 games this season due to various injuries. Given his ability to train this week, he could very well go right back into the starting lineup, giving the Lions a much-needed boost in the attack.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Kaka (calf) returned to training Wednesday, according to Alicia Rose DelGallo of the Orlando Sentinel.

Kaka has missed three games due to his latest injury, but a return to training certainly provides some hope that he can return Saturday against Columbus.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Kaka (calf) did not travel to Vancouver for Saturday's match against the Whitecaps, according to Alicia Rose DelGallo of the Orlando Sentinel.

There was a hope that Kaka would be fit enough to play this past Wednesday against the Red Bulls, so it's a bit surprising that he's not healthy enough to return for the weekend fixture. His next opportunity will come July 23 against the Crew.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Kaka (calf) will not play Wednesday against the Red Bulls, according to Alicia Rose DelGallo of the Orlando Sentinel.

Orlando City was hopeful that Kaka would be able to return, but he apparently hasn't done nearly enough in training to justify playing him. Kevin Molino is likely to continue to line up in the No. 10 role.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Kaka (calf) will not play Friday against Houston, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Kaka has already missed seven games this season due to injury, which he suffered Monday against Dallas, and he was unable to play for Brazil during Copa America (he was an injury replacement himself). Given his inability to train, it's unclear when Kaka will get back on the field. Luke Boden took corners for Kaka after he left Monday's match, and Kevin Molino could slot into the No. 10 position on Friday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Kaka was pulled from play at halftime of a 4-0 road loss to FC Dallas Monday night as the result of a "slight problem with his calf," the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Kaka's absence in the second half of Monday night's fixture only further incapacitated an Orlando City club still reeling from the release of Adrian Winter on Friday and that recorded just three total shots (none on target) in its first-ever visit to Toyota Stadium. No word yet on the seriousness of Kaka's injury. Fantasy owners will want to track his status closely heading into a home match with Houston this Friday as a result.
