MHawthorn Hawks
June 12, 2021
Mitchell gathered 34 disposals, seven tackles, three clearances, two marks and a single major Friday as Hawthorn defeated Sydney 89-51 at SCG.
Appearing for the first time since it was reported he would be open to a trade at the end of the 2021 campaign, Mitchell finished Friday's match pacing all players for disposals and tallying a season-high for both tackles and rebound 50s (5). The 29 year-old too posted his seventh 100+ fantasy performance in nine appearances and now finds himself the AFL's leader in total handballs (247), no. 2. in total disposals per game (33.5) and no. 3 in total disposals (402). His 106.75 points an outing also currently ranks 21st-best in the league.

44 disposals in loss to Carlton
MHawthorn Hawks
May 22, 2021
Mitchell collected 44 disposals, eight clearances and four marks and tackles each Saturday as Hawthorn fell to Carlton 86-63 at MCG.
A season-best 22 kicks paired with an equal number of handballs as Mitchell finished the leader in disposals in Saturday's contest. He also set a new yearly high for inside 50s (7) while too registering a minimum of three marks for a ninth consecutive showing. Those figures helped the 27 year-old recover nicely from an unusually subdued fantasy outing (84 points) against North Melbourne last week and leaves him having topped 100 fantasy points in six of his last seven outings. Little wonder then that Mitchell remains a top 15 option for selection at midfielder heading into a Round 11 match up with Gold Coast.
Arguably best on ground in loss
MHawthorn Hawks
May 9, 2021
Mitchell tallied 41 disposals (10 kicks, 31 handballs), five marks and four tackles in Sunday's 98-60 loss to the Eagles.
Mitchell did everything he could but was unable to power his side to victory. The former Brownlow Medallist currently ranks first in the league in total handballs as well as second in total disposals. A perennial All-Australian, Mitchell should continue to deliver elite production on a weekly basis.
Collects 38 disposals in loss
MHawthorn Hawks
May 1, 2021
Mitchell scored one behind to go with 38 disposals (13 kicks, 25 handballs) in addition to making seven marks and five tackles during Saturday's 128-59 loss to Saint Kilda.
Mitchell has been massive for a Hawks team mostly devoid of fantasy star power outside of a few key players. As a result, he was able to top 37 disposals for the fourth time this season even in a lopsided result. Given this effort, it looks like Mitchell will hold plenty of value even when the odds are against hi recording victories each week.
Another productive day
MHawthorn Hawks
April 18, 2021
Mitchell collected 32 disposals (15 kicks, 17 handballs) and made five tackles during Sunday's 104-54 loss to Melbourne.
Mitchell has been one of the most productive members of the Hawks with more than 100 fantasy points in all but one round. If he performs this well against a strong Demons club, it wouldn't be surprising to see Mitchell keep it up against other good opponents.
Season-best performance in victory
MHawthorn Hawks
April 12, 2021
Mitchell recorded 38 disposals, five marks, five clearances, two tackles and a single goal Sunday as Fremantle outpaced Hawthorn 96-81 at Optus Stadium.
A game-high 24 handballs and 14 kicks saw Mitchell post his best disposal numbers of the year in Sunday's match. The 27 year-old also finished out the day trailing only teammate Jaeger O'Meara for most clearances registered by a Hawthorn player. The midfielder heads into mid-April having tallied at least 106 fantasy points in all but one appearance this season and the Hawks' leader in fantasy score per game amongst those having played in all four rounds this year. His current ranking as the 105th-best value amongst all players at his position may frighten off some owners, but the price to roster Mitchell, at least for now, seems well-worth paying.
