2025 Fantasy Outlook
Leasure impressed the White Sox during Cactus League play last year to earn a spot in the team's Opening Day bullpen. The hard-throwing right-hander found himself in high-leverage situations right away, earning the first of his nine holds during his major-league debut. The 26-year-old posted a respectable 2.52 ERA through his first 26 outings, but he was jettisoned to the minors after hitting a rough patch in June. After a few weeks in Triple-A, Leasure was recalled to the majors but suffered a shoulder impingement after a few appearances that effectively ended his season. Even though he struggled through his first 31.1 big-league innings, the White Sox may still be interested in giving Leasure high-leverage opportunities in 2025 to aid his development. 2024 Fantasy Outlook
Leasure had emerged as an intriguing relief-pitching prospect prior to getting dealt from the Dodgers to the White Sox last deadline in the Lance Lynn deal. He can touch 100 mph with his fastball and has an above-average upper-80s slider. The Dodgers developed him, and now Leasure is in an organization with a weak enough depth chart for him to potentially find his way into the saves mix. He turns 26 in August, and while he has no big-league experience, he could make the team out of spring training.
