2025 Fantasy Outlook
Bohm's 2024 stats were a nice representation of the league as a whole. Bohm made more hard contact, had a higher barrel rate and a higher average exit velocity than he did in 2023, yet he hit five fewer homers on the season despite a nearly identical amount of plate appearances. That playing time consistency is one of Bohm's endearing qualities, as he is just one of seven third basemen with 600-plus plate appearances in each of the past three seasons. Bohm was also granted the honor of hitting cleanup in Philadelphia for most of the season, which allowed him to match his 2023 RBI total despite having fewer homers. The homer decline was offset by a career-best 44 doubles. Bohm's groundball rate puts a soft cap on his home run upside. He has shown a bit more loft in recent seasons, and Bohm setting a new career-high in pull rate in 2024 may be a sign he's going to join the elevate-and-celebrate mindset, which proliferates baseball these days. A hand issue, which led to an IL stint in early September was certainly a second-half factor in (.681 OPS) compared to his first half (.830 OPS.) Read Past Outlooks

Early power surge this spring
Bohm went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's Grapefruit League game against Toronto.
ANALYSIS
Bohm took Blue Jays right-hander Bowden Francis deep in the third inning, homering for the third time in just 21 at-bats this spring so far. The 28-year-old corner infielder has driven in 97 runs while batting at least .274 in each of the past two seasons, making him a relatively safe option in the middle rounds of fantasy drafts as part of Philadelphia's potent lineup.

With Shohei Ohtani set for more days off and fewer steals this season, Bobby Witt Jr. has moved into the top spot in our Roundtable Rankings.

Rankings from four RotoWire experts are combined into a consensus top-300, but there's no consensus about who should occupy the top spot.

Elly De La Cruz crept up slightly in the latest edition of the RotoWire Roundtable rankings, moving up to fourth overall.

Todd Zola explains how projected playing time and a skills-based approach helps him identify upside plays late in a draft, as well as leading him to put Aaron Judge at the top of his personal rankings.

Bohm's wRC+ increased for the second straight season, and while he exhibited better plate skills, his batted-ball metrics took a small step back. Specifically, his average exit velocity and hard-hit rate dipped a tad from 2022. A slight increase in launch angle helped counter hitting the ball with less authority, resulting in Bohm's first 20-homer season. He only attempted five steals, the same as the previous season, but Bohm was successful four times as opposed to twice in 2022, hinting he could run a little more this season. Bohm's defense improved, but it was still well below average, and with Bryce Harper entrenched at first base, Bohm is ticketed for the hot corner. He's also probably also going to continue to hit lower in the order, costing Bohm some plate appearances. Bohm is solid, but expecting another level is risky.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

Staying in Philadelphia?
The Phillies have been "steadfast" in their contention that Bohm will not be traded, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Philadelphia is known to be seeking a bit of a roster shakeup and Bohm has been at the forefront of trade rumors. However, if the Phillies are to be believed, it would appear they would rather trade others than Bohm. The third baseman is projected to earn around $8 million in 2025 via arbitration and will be under team control for 2026, as well.
