The Golden State Warriors defeated the Sacramento Kings, 125-123, at Oracle Arena on Thursday. Another game against Sacramento, another down-to-the-wire finish for the Warriors, who almost let Thursday's contest get away from them due to some costly missed free throws and a couple of prayer three-pointers from Buddy Hield in the final seconds. Nevertheless, Golden State managed to get one last stop when it desperately needed to and walked away with the regular season sweep over the Kings. As per usual, the Warriors did most of their damage Thursday night from behind the arc. Steph Curry led the way, making 10 three-pointers on his way to scoring a game-high 36 points in 36 minutes to go along with six rebounds and seven assists. As a team, shot 41.3 percent from behind the arc, making an incredible 19 three-point shots along the way. Kevin Durant made just one of those threes, but he still finished with 28 points, nine rebounds and four assists, while Klay Thompson added 18 points of his own. As for the Kings, it was a valiant effort for a team that has struggled mightily away from home, but they have now lost to the Warriors three times this season by a combined eight points. Rookie big man Marvin Bagley continues to improve, and he put together one of his best performances of his debut season Thursday, scoring a team-high 28 points and grabbing 14 rebounds in 34 minutes off the bench. In what ended up being a complete team effort, six other Sacramento players managed to score in double figures, but ultimately, the team just wasn't able to keep pace with the sharp-shooting Warriors.
