Detroit at Milwaukee
The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Detroit Pistons, 120-99, in Wednesday's Game 2 of their Eastern Conference playoff series at Fiserv Forum. The Bucks once again might light work of the Blake Griffin-less Pistons on Wednesday, although it wasn't wire-to-wire like Game 1. In fact, after falling behind early, Detroit used an impressive showing in the second quarter to take a one-point lead into halftime. That, however, would be their last lead of the game, as Milwaukee went on to dominate the next 12 minutes, outscoring their opponents 35-17. And with that return to dominance, the Bucks took a 2-0 lead as the series shifts to Detroit. Eric Bledsoe led the way in the scoring column for Milwaukee with a game-high 27 points to go along with four rebounds, six assists and three steals in just 28 minutes. Giannis Antetokounmpo was close behind with 26 points on top of 12 rebonds and four assists, while Khris Middleton rounded out what was a terrific performance from the team's big three with 24 points, five rebounds and eight assists of his own. As a team, the Bucks assisted on 32 of their 47 made field goals and shot an efficient 52.2 percent from the field. As for the Pistons, they simply did not have the offensive firepower to keep up with Milwaukee in the second half, only scoring 40 points over the final 24 minutes. The team ended up shooting a miserable 37.4 percent from the field despite hitting 33.3 percent of their shots from behind the arc. Luke Kennard, who got the start Wednesday in an effort to give the offense a boost without Griffin, led the way with 19 points on 6-of-13 shooting, while Andre Drummond and Reggie Jackson were each close behind with 18 points.
