2025 Fantasy Outlook
Wade was a key rotation player for the Cavaliers in 2024-25. He made a total of 59 appearances (30 starts), posting averages of 5.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.7 steals and 1.4 three-pointers in 21.2 minutes per contest. Wade's main statistical appeal comes from his three-point shooting and a handful of rebounds, but he's an inefficient shooter with poor playmaking and a low block rate. His playing time is likely to fluctuate based on the team's health, making him a risky option in standard leagues. At best, he offers short-term streaming value when injuries push him into a larger role. Outside of deep leagues or specialized formats, Wade's fantasy ceiling remains modest. Read Past Outlooks
Cleared to play Saturday
Wade (eye) is available for Saturday's game against Chicago, Spencer Davies of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
An eye injury prevented Wade from playing Friday against the Wizards, but he has been given the green light to play in the second leg of the Cavaliers' back-to-back set. He's averaging a career-high 21.5 minutes per game this season in a reserve role, though he's shooting just 35.9 percent from the field and 32.3 percent from three-point range on 3.9 3PA/G.

2021
Wade recorded several career-high marks in the 2023-24 season, his fifth year in the league with the Cavaliers, including a personal best in minutes per game (20.5), starts (32) and rebounds per game (4.0). However, his scoring was down a bit, and the only reason behind his 32 starts was the fact that the Cavaliers were among the most injury-riddled teams in 2023-24. This upcoming season, however, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen are fully healthy, and when that's the case, Wade's minutes decrease considerably. Even if he makes a spot start from time to time, Wade's backup role on a contending team should be enough to avoid him in most fantasy drafts, even in the deepest formats.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Might wind up in starting five
Wade might begin the season as part of Cleveland's starting lineup with Max Strus now set to miss 3-4 months after foot surgery, per the Wine and Gold Talk podcast.
ANALYSIS
Darius Garland was already set to miss the beginning of the season while recovering from toe surgery, and Strus' absence will put additional responsibility on Donovan Mitchell's shoulders. De'Andre Hunter is also a strong option to take Strus' spot at small forward, but the Cavs may prefer to keep him in a sixth-man role, opening the door for Wade to start instead. Cleveland has also had success with Wade in the starting lineup due to his strong defense, going 23-7 during his 30 starts in 2024-25.
