Prosper made one start and appeared in 40 games as a rookie, though he averaged a mere 3.0 points and 2.0 rebounds across 8.4 minutes per game. The Mavericks added Klay Thompson in the offseason to replace Derrick Jones, and while head coach Jason Kidd probably views Prosper as a depth option in the frontcourt, there might not be enough minutes available for him with Daniel Gafford, Dereck Lively and P.J. Washington soaking up most of the minutes. Even Naji Marshall and Maxi Kleber are ahead of Prosper in the depth chart, so he shouldn't be a factor in any fantasy format, even the deepest leagues and dynasty formats. Signed a two-year, $5.6 million contract with the Mavericks in July of 2023. Mavericks exercised $3.01 million team option for 2025-26 in October of 2024. Contract includes $5.26 million team option for 2026-27.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
Prosper was selected by the Kings with the 24th overall pick in the 2023 draft, before being traded to the Mavericks. Although he is unlikely to be a focal point for Dallas, he does provide a much-needed defensive spark for a team that was awful on that end of the floor down the stretch of last season. His ability to score both at the rim and from the perimeter gives him some upside as a potential 3-and-D player. Not unlike many rookies this season, Prosper could struggle to find a consistent role on a team with playoff aspirations.
