Morgan signed a contract with the Jazz on Nov. 19 as an undrafted free agent following four collegiate seasons at Indiana. He made his NBA debut against the Pacers on Nov. 27, playing three minutes and collecting one rebound. The rookie scored his first NBA points Jan. 10 against the Hornets, scoring four points and grabbing one rebound. From that game until the hiatus of the season due to COVID-19, Morgan appeared in nine games, totaling 15 points, 15 rebounds and one assist. His role increased during the resumption of the season in the Orlando bubble. During seeding play, the forward averaged 3.4 points, 2.0 rebounds and 0.8 assists. He had his best performance Aug. 13 against the Spurs, posting six points (3-4 FG), three rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block. Appearing in all seven Jazz playoff games, he averaged 1.4 points, 3.0 rebounds and 0.7 assists. Morgan's best playoff effort was Game 1, where he recorded three points, seven rebounds, one assist and one steal. In the following two games, he totaled six points, six rebounds, three assists and one steal.
