2024 Fantasy Outlook
Quickley is heading into his first full season as a member of the Raptors. He came over in a trade mid-way through the 2023-24 campaign and locked in for the long haul by signing a five-year extension in the offseason. Quickley averaged 15.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 29 games coming off the bench for the Knicks to start last season but hopped straight into a starting role with the Raptors and averaged 18.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 0.9 steals across his final 38 appearances of the season. He hit the 30-point mark twice on the year, both within his final three appearances of the season, including a high of 32 points on 10-for-24 shooting in a road loss against the Nets in early April. Quickley dished a minimum of 10 assists on six occasions during the back half of the season with the Raptors, including a season-high 18 assists in a road loss against the Suns in early March. He also averaged a career-high 2.5 made three-pointers per game, while shooting a blistering 39.5 percent from deep in 2023-24, further establishing himself as a legitimate threat from beyond the arc. Quickley is in an ideal situation heading into the 2024-25 campaign, as he has the keys to his new team and is set to play alongside young, but proven scorers such as RJ Barrett and Scottie Barnes. Overall, Quickley has a strong chance of continuing on an upward trajectory in his overall production. Read Past Outlooks

Imaging on Quickley's left elbow Tuesday showed that he's progressing, but he remains without a return timetable, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Quickley hasn't been cleared to return to practice yet, and it sounds like the Raptors are going to proceed with caution. Quickley was diagnosed with a partial UCL tear in his left elbow in mid-November, and the most he's been able to do is individual drills since then.

Quickley continues to be a sporadic scorer but finished with career highs in points (14.9), rebounds (4.1), steals (1.0) and minutes (28.9) per game during the 2022-23 campaign. The backup point guard has also posted a 2.8 AST:TO ratio in each of the last two seasons. The most important jump for Quickley between Years 2 and 3 was his efficiency from the field. He was able to improve his field-goal percentage from 39.2 to 44.8 and his three-point percentage from 34.6 to 37.0 while also increasing his attempts per game. When given an expanded role, the Kentucky product excelled, averaging 22.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.2 steals in 38.5 minutes per contest across 21 starts. But he'll likely still come off the bench in 2023-24 after New York added Donte DiVincenzo to a backcourt that already featured Jalen Brunson, Quentin Grimes, Josh Hart and RJ Barrett. Quickley missed just one regular-season game last year, which allowed him to finish as the 67th overall fantasy scorer in eight-category leagues, but he was only 125th in per-game value. If he can stay healthy again, which hasn't been a concern over his first three campaigns, Quickley will have solid utility for a reserve, but his upside is limited as long as the Knicks' starting backcourt is available.
Quickley was a sporadic producer during Year 2 and finished with nearly identical scoring numbers (11.3 points per game) to his rookie campaign, though he did increase his rebounding (3.2 per game) and assist (3.5) production. The No. 25 overall pick in 2020 struggled to consistently score the ball and shot just 39.2 percent from the field and 34.6 percent from three (5.1 attempts per game). However, the dynamic guard displayed his full potential when given an extended opportunity. Across three starts, the Kentucky product averaged 22.3 points, 6.3 assists and 4.7 rebounds, including a 34-point, 12-assist and 10-rebound triple-double during the regular-season finale -- his second triple-double of the campaign. With Kemba Walker and Alec Burks gone and Jalen Brunson now in the mix, Quickley will likely garner a similar role in Year 3, though he may be pushed for playing time from fellow youngsters Miles McBride, Quentin Grimes and Cam Reddish, who have all shown flashes early in their respective careers. Derrick Rose is still in the mix, but it's unclear what type of player he'll be after another devastating lower-body injury.
Quickley emerged as one of the few steals of the 2020 NBA Draft, as the guard averaged 11.4 points, 2.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 0.5 steals during his rookie season. The 22-year-old landed managed to hit 39.5 percent from the field, 89.1 percent from the charity stripe and 38.9 percent from beyond the three-point arc. This upcoming season could be a rough one for Quickley, however, as the Knicks were able to add key pieces and depth to their backcourt. The acquisitions of Kemba Walker, Evan Fournier and Quentin Grimes will likely reduce Quickley's 2020 season average of 19.4 minutes. The former Kentucky guard has plenty of upside as a three-point shooting specialist, but his role could be compressed, leading to Quickley only providing fantasy value in deep leagues.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Not expected to miss time
GToronto Raptors
October 4, 2024
Quickley has been spotted sporting a brace on his wrist after practice as a precautionary measure since he's dealing with a left thumb injury, but he's not expected to miss time in the regular season because of that problem, according to Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.
ANALYSIS
Quickley is playing through a sprain of his left thumb, and the Raptors are being extremely cautious with the injury because they want him to be fully available for the regular-season opener. Quickley is in line for a big year in 2024-25 after agreeing to a five-year, $175 million contract with the Raptors in the offseason. He averaged 18.6 points, 6.8 assists, 4.8 rebounds and 0.9 steals in 33.3 minutes while shooting 39.5 percent from deep in 38 regular-season games for Toronto after being acquired from the Knicks in December.
