Is sports betting legal in Indiana?

Yes. Indiana passed a bill to allow sports betting in September 2019 and wagering started in October with online betting launching a couple months later. 

Indiana had double-digit sportsbooks a few months after legalizing and new ones open by the month because all casinos and off-track-betting locations have the opportunity to apply for sports betting licenses. Most of the of the physical sportsbooks are partnered with online outlets to offer mobile wagering. Unlike a few states, Indiana sportsbooks does not require players to sign up at sportsbooks to wager online. In order to download and use licensed apps, you have to be 21 years old.

Daily Fantasy Sports have operated in Indiana for the majority of existence and a bill was passed in 2016 to legalize them.

Rising Star Casino, Rising Sun 

BetAmerica opened its first sportsbook in Indiana in late 2019 at Rising Star. However, they're more known for betting online, which officially launched at the beginning of 2020. In order to offer online betting, BetAmerica needed a retail location in the state.

French Lick Casino, French Lick

The sportsbook at French Lick features three betting windows and eight kiosks (open 24/7), which is in addition to betting online through BetRivers. The bar area includes 18 TVs and a pair of 16-foot LED walls.

Caesar's sportsbooks are all fairly similar (named The Book), providing a large betting area with luxury seating, full-screen TVs, full bars and self-serve kiosks for betting outside of normal hours.

The Sportsbook at Ameristar is a partner of DraftKings, which allows bettors to wager through the DK app. The area includes five wagering terminals, 12 kiosks and several HDTVs. It's also located next to the Stadium Sports Bar, supplying easy access to food and drinks.

Belterra Casino Resort, Florence

The sportsbook at Belterra offers five betting windows, 10 self-serve kiosks which are open 24/7, a video wall and 12 large TVs. Online wagering can be done through the FanDuel app or via BetMGM, who Belterra also has a deal with.
