Yes. New Hampshire became the 16th state to legalize sports betting when a bill was passed in 2019. However, when it launched in December 2019, betting could only be done online through DraftKings Sportsbook.
Going forward, 10 retail sportsbooks are set to open in New Hampshire, all of them via DraftKings, which is splitting betting revenue with the state. Also, sports betting at state lottery terminals will be possible through Intralot. Four other mobile betting operators may be authorized, but because of a split revenue deal, DraftKings has a monopoly in the state.
In January 2023, the chairman of the New Hampshire Senate's Ways and Means Committee made a proposition regarding the state's online gambling laws in a measure similar to online sports betting. In this proposal, the New Hampshire Lottery would license, regulate, and oversee the program.
Unlike most states where the age limit is 21 years old, New Hampshire's minimum age to bet on sports is 18.
Daily Fantasy Sports and horse racing betting are also allowed in New Hampshire. Daily Fantasy Sports were legalized in 2017 and have never been an issue in the state.
