Novak finished in solo third place at the Farmers Insurance Open after a two-over 74 in the final round.
ANALYSISNovak was tied with
Harris English for the lead after 54 holes with a lot of players trying to chase. Novak had plenty of highs and lows in Saturday's final round carding just one par on the first 10 holes. Novak had some openings to make ground up on English on the back-nine, but just could not execute the way a now five-time winner on the PGA Tour in English was able to. Novak is a very solid ball-striker and has the game to one day win on the PGA Tour. He ranked seventh in SG: Approach and T8 in GIR's for the week at Torrey Pines. While he didn't get the win, Novak did notch a spot at the second Signature Event of the season at next week's AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am via the Aon Swing 5.
