DeChambeau won by two strokes over
Charles Howell III at LIV Golf Korea after carding a six-under 66 in the final round.
ANALYSISJust like he had in the two previous LIV Golf tournaments, DeChambeau entered Championship Sunday at the top of the leaderboard, this time with a four-stroke cushion. DeChambeau's final-round struggles over his last three tournaments (including the Masters) has been well documented, and his slow start Sunday allowed Howell,
Richard Bland and
Talor Gooch to catch up to him on the leaderboard. However, this time around, DeChambeau was able to separate himself from the pack by carding six birdies over the final nine holes to capture his third LIV Golf victory (and first since Chicago in 2023), and he got the sweep in Korea with Crushers GC winning the team event by nine strokes over
Brooks Koepka's Smash GC. With his first win of the year under his belt, DeChambeau will have momentum behind him heading into the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow on May 15.
