Young finished in a share third place at The Masters after a one-over 73 in the final round.
ANALYSISYoung was looking to make it three years in a row that THE PLAYERS champion went on to win The Masters. He put himself in a great spot on Sunday after sensational rounds of 67-65 on Friday and Saturday. Young made some key saves early in the final round with the putter, but that same club let him down coming home. Young made bogeys on 6, 7 and 9, with his last birdie of the day coming on the par-5 8th. He gave himself plenty of opportunities, but just could not buy one, where his playing partner
Rory McIlroy made a number of the same distance on the back-nine. Young will learn a lot from this experience and should be in the mix for many more majors for years to come given his game. He will look to bounce back next week at the RBC Heritage.
