Blanchet fired a bogey-free, five-under 67 during the final round of the Puerto Rico Open to finish as the runner-up behind
Ricky Castillo.
ANALYSIS
Blanchet opened the tournament nicely with a 64-67 scorecard to enter the weekend with a four-stroke lead. However, he lost steam Saturday and finished with a two-over 74 that allowed the rest of the field to catch up to him, and his strong final round wasn't enough for him to catch up to Castillo. Blanchet led the field in Puerto Rico in driving accuracy and birdies made and finished T17 in GIR. While he fell short of capturing the first PGA Tour victory of his career, it was still a promising performance out of Blanchet after he missed the cut in each of his first five outings of the 2026 season. He is not in the field for THE PLAYERS Championship next week.
