Southgate fired a six-under 65 in the final round of the French Open to move into a tie for fifth place.
ANALYSIS
Southgate was bogey-free all day in the final round until a bogey at the 17th hole. He made a whopping 20 birdies for the week, but damage control was an issue as Southgate carded two double-bogeys, a triple-bogey, and a quadruple-bogey. It's hard to win anywhere with those types of numbers, but it's impressive he was able to finish just two shots back of what ended up being the winning score. Southgate will tee it up again next week at the Irish Open.
