The Dodgers announced
Friday that Buehler (elbow) won't return from the 60-day injured list this season as the organization aims to have him enter spring training at full health.
Buehler has been on the shelf all season while recovering from the Tommy John surgery he underwent last August. He was cleared to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City this past Sunday and looked sharp in his lone appearance, throwing two scoreless innings. Though Buehler isn't believed to be dealing with any reported setbacks coming out of that outing, the Dodgers won't have him ramp up with the hope of staging a late-season return to the big-league rotation. It's unclear, however, whether the 29-year-old righty will continue making rehab appearances at Triple-A.
