The Eagles acquired Bigsby from the Jaguars on Monday in exchange for 2026 fifth- and sixth-round draft picks,
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSISBigsby took a back seat to
Travis Etienne in the Jaguars' Week 1 win over the Panthers, getting outsnapped 40-14 and out-touched 19-5. All of Bigsby's touches were carries for a measly 12 yards, while Etienne ripped off 156 yards from scrimmage. With the move to Philadelphia, Bigsby may be able to step in as the team's No. 2 back right away after
Will Shipley suffered a rib injury in last Thursday's win over the Cowboys. However,
Saquon Barkley will continue to handle a bell-cow role out of the backfield, and veteran
AJ Dillon also is on hand as depth. More than likely, Bigsby's immediate impact will occur on kick returns.
