Cindric crashed and finished 39th in the Coke Zero Sugar 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday night.
ANALYSISDespite starting fifth on the grid and being one of the pre-race favorites, Cindric would run into trouble Saturday night in Daytona. The Penske Racing driver would get caught up in some furious, tight racing after an early-race restart. Contact between
Erik Jones,
Bubba Wallace and other drivers on lap 28 would set off a huge crash in the tri-oval. Cindric would simply be in the wrong place at the wrong time and catch heavy contact, including his front-end nosing into the wall. The No. 2 Ford would be too damaged to continue and Cindric would collect his third DNF of the season.
