The Penske Racing driver would come to Charlotte Sunday looking to race his way into the Round of 8 but instead would find nothing but trouble. Cindric would race inside the Top 10 at times during the first 30 laps but he'd be on the wrong end of contact on lap 33. The No. 2 Ford would get heavy contact from behind from Carson Hocevar while navigating the front stretch chicane and would spin out.
