Keeping name in draft
FMississippi State
April 9, 2020
Woodard said Thursday that he'll keep his name in the 2020 NBA Draft and forgo his final two years of eligibility at Mississippi State, Jonathan Givony of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Bulldogs will lose both of their starting forwards from 2019-20 to the draft, as Reggie Perry announced about a week and a half earlier that he would forgo his final season at Starkville. While Perry was the more productive of the two players, Woodard -- who averaged 11.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.1 steals, 1.0 block and 1.0 three-pointer in 33.0 minutes per game as a sophomore -- may project as the more appealing pro prospect thanks to his length (7-foot-1 wingspan), size (6-foot-7, 230 pounds), defensive versatility and outside shooting ability.
