Transferring to Washington
Osobor is transferring to Washington, per Jonathan Givony of ESPN.com.
ANALYSIS
Despite considering offers from Louisville and Texas Tech, Osobor ultimately committed to Washington. The decision is not all that surprising, considering UW's basketball program recently hired Danny Sprinkle as its head coach, which results in the re-creation of a duo that was highly prevalent and successful while Osobor was enrolled at Montana State and Utah State respectively. On top of that, at $2 million, he will receive the highest-known NIL payout of the NCAA's 2024-25 season. This comes after a campaign that led him to become the transfer portal's hottest acquisition. Osobor was 2023-24 named Mountain West Player of the Year by averaging 17.7 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.4 blocks across his 35 starts for Utah State.
