By fracturing his right foot, Acuff is expected to be out for three months, though that is not a certainty. If certain however, he can become available before Rutgers' 2024-25 season begins, a situation the team expects. However, a lot can happen during the offseason and preseason, so Acuff's availability by the beginning of the latter is not etched in stone. Ideally, there becomes a clearer indication of how his foot is holding up sometime in late-October or early-November, just before college basketball returns.
