Clayton is planned to be used as the Gators' starting point guard during their 2024-25 season, per Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
ANALYSIS
Before withdrawing from the 2024 NBA Draft and re-enrolling at Florida, Clayton was part of the 2023-24 Gators' primary backcourt alongside Zyon Pullin, their starting option at point guard then. But with Pullin's collegiate career over, the Gators need a new figurehead at the one. They will move Clayton, whose PG experience at Iona and Florida should make his position transition at least a bit easier.
