Back in transfer portal
Perry placed his name in the NCAA's transfer portal Wednesday and is expected to move on from Miami as a graduate transfer, Nick Kosko of 247Sports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Perry previously put his name in the portal earlier in the offseason before returning to the 'Canes, but he'll elect to explore his options away from Coral Gables yet again. The 2017 four-star recruit would have been unlikely to beat out D'Eriq King for the starting job in 2021, even with King still recovering from a torn ACL he suffered in the Dec. 29 Cheez-It Bowl game. Perry will have two years of eligibility remaining, and he'll be able to compete immediately at his next school since he's on track to earn his degree in May.
