2021 Fantasy Outlook
Brennan started the 2020 campaign with a bang, throwing for at least 330 yards and three touchdowns in each of the first three games of the season for the Tigers. Unfortunately, he suffered an oblique injury and ended up being sidelined for the remainder of the season. Brennan is supposedly healthy as the 2021 seasons looms, but he has a competition on his hands for the starting job with Max Johnson. Whomever lines up under center will have a bunch of inexperienced pass catchers stepping to the forefront after Terrace Marshall Jr. opted for the NFL and Arik Gilbert transferred to Georgia. Kayshon Boutte does return, though; the standout wideout flashed monstrous upside with a 14-catch, 308-yard, three-touchdown virtuoso performance versus Ole Miss in the final game of the season. Brennan can win the job as long as he stays healthy, but he once again finds himself without a guaranteed spot. Read Past Outlooks

Arm
August 19, 2021
Brennan (arm) won't be back until mid-season at the earliest, Glenn Guibeau of the Lafayette Daily Advertiser reports.
ANALYSIS
Brennan underwent arm surgery in early August and a timetable wasn't immediately disclosed. While he still has a fairly wide range for his potential return to the mix under center, it sounds like a mid-season return is the best he can hope for at this point. Max Johnson is set to lead the Tigers into the opener Sept. 4 versus UCLA.

2020 Fantasy Outlook
Brennan has perhaps the biggest shoes in all of college football to fill. All his predecessor Joe Burrow did was have arguably the best season for a quarterback in the history of college football. Burrow set all sorts of passing records in the SEC, won the Heisman Trophy and the National Championship, and was the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft. Certainly, a tough act to follow. That being said, Brennan still has an outstanding supporting cast around him, including arguably the best wide receiver in the country in the form of Ja’Marr Chase. Brennan hasn’t played much but was a four-star recruit out of high school in Mississippi. It could be trial by fire for Brennan as the Tigers begin life after Burrow.
