Taking starter snaps at practice
February 20, 2019
Eleby took starter snaps at spring practice earlier this week, according to the Battle Creek Enquirer.
With Jon Wassink still recovering from foot surgery, Eleby is getting an opportunity in spring practice. He started four games after Wassink was injured last season, appearing in five contests, but as long as Wassink gets healthy he'll be the favorite to start next season.

2019 Fantasy Outlook
Eleby started four games as a freshman last season in place of an injured Jon Wassink, with 1,092 passing yards and a completion rate over 62 percent in five games where he attempted a pass. Wassink is the starter now that he's healthy, but he has missed time with significant injury in each of the past two seasons. Eleby's fantasy outlook is cloud for 2019 at this point, but he's got to be the early favorite to start under center for Western Michigan in 2020.
