Stone will be Tanner Mordecai's backup to begin the 2021 season, Chris Vannini of The Athletic reports.
Stone was a high-school All-American in 2020 and the fifth-highest rated dual-threat quarterback in his class. He had an opportunity to come in and potentially start right away as a freshman but was beat out for the job by Oklahoma transfer Tanner Mordecai.
