2023 Fantasy Outlook
Martinez's freshman campaign was stellar, leading all Oregon State rushers with 982 yards. He finished the season with a flourish, notching six consecutive 100-yard games before an almost non-existent presence in the team's 30-3 win over Florida in the Las Vegas Bowl following an injury in the final game of the regular season versus rival Oregon. Deshaun Fenwick will compete for touches in the backfield again, but Jamious Griffin has transferred to Ole Miss and Martinez will be the clear top option with an opportunity to lead the conference in rushing if he can stay healthy. Entering transfer portal
Martinez has decided to enter the transfer portal, Matt Zenitz of 247Sports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Martinez appears set to officially enter the portal in the spring window once it opens April 15. The Beavers back stuck around over the winter despite a mass exodus from Corvallis following the collapse of the Pac-12, perhaps relating to Martinez's bowl game absence following his arrest for a DUI in late November. He will, however, look for a new home via the portal this spring after posting 194 carries for 1,185 yards and nine touchdowns last season, and Martinez figures to find a fair number of interested schools.
