Won't play in bowl game
BYU head coach Kalani Sitake said that Katoa has an undisclosed injury and will now play in the team's New Mexico Bowl matchup with SMU on Dec. 17, Jay Drew of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.

Katoa played in a rotational role over 10 games for the Cougars this season, recording 75 carries for 333 yards and two touchdowns as well as 10 receptions (on 14 targets) for 80 yards. However, the sixth-year senior didn't appear in the team's regular-season finale Nov. 26 versus Stanford with an undisclosed injury and will now sit out the bowl matchup to close out his collegiate career.
