A four-star recruit with some big offers coming out of high school, Manning spent last season in junior college after transferring away from TCU and racked up 35 receptions for 727 yards and six touchdowns at Kilgore. While he has yet to catch a pass at the FBS level, Manning couldn’t have wound up in much better of a situation. He joins a Nebraska team that lost the services of JD Spielman to the transfer portal this offseason, potentially aligning him for a starting role immediately with a strong showing in camp. Wan’Dale Robinson figures to top the wideout depth chart, but it should be open season behind him for reps on Saturdays.
