2025 Fantasy Outlook
Ramsey will be a shoo-in for an every-down role at cornerback if he remains in Miami, but it seems like a foregone conclusion that he's traded at some point this offseason. He started all 17 regular-season games in 2024 and continued to demonstrate a high playing level, despite failing to earn Pro Bowl honors for the first time since his rookie campaign in Jacksonville. Wherever Ramsey ultimately lands, he'll be counted on as a plus-level starter. Read Past Outlooks
Traded to Pittsburgh
The Dolphins are trading Ramsey to the Steelers, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Ramsey and tight end Jonnu Smith are headed to Pittsburgh in exchange for safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, with Day 3 picks going in both directions. The 2-for-1 trade allows Miami to shed salary without totally punting, while Pittsburgh now has standout strengths at cornerback and tight end. Ramsey may end up in an IDP-friendly role as a slot guardian and/or safety, considering the Steelers seemingly have a solid pair of boundary corners in Joey Porter and Darius Slay. They also have slot corner Beanie Bishop returning, so there's no shortage of options for nickel packages.

Though Ramsey is entering his age-30 season and was only able to suit up for 10 games in 2023, he remains a reliable option at cornerback and a pillar of Miami's secondary. Even if Ramsey has lost a step, the signing of Kendall Fuller from Washington sets up the Dolphins to field one of the league's best cornerback duos on the perimeter. That will need to be the case, given that this defense is looking to replace longtime standout Xavien Howard, and could be without Bradley Chubb early in the 2024 regular season while he recovers from an ACL tear.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Role in Pittsburgh uncertain
Ramsey could be asked to play some safety by the Steelers after being acquired in a blockbuster trade with the Dolphins on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittsburgh already has two strong cornerbacks on the roster in Joey Porter and Darius Slay, while starting safety Minkah Fitzpatrick was part of the package sent to Miami in a deal that also landed the Steelers tight end Jonnu Smith. Ramsey is now 30 years old, and while he can still play corner at a high level, his skill set could allow him to switch positions fairly seamlessly, and the added versatility might prolong his career.
