Injury Opt Out
2020 Fantasy Outlook
A third-round pick in 2018, Beal saw more snaps at the end of last year once he got over a shoulder injury that cost him his rookie season and a hamstring issue in 2019. He was a prolific tackler for a cornerback and could see a lot of action, given Deandre Baker's armed robbery charge. He'll battle Corey Ballentine for the starting job opposite James Bradberry, should Baker get jailed, suspended or released. Read Past Outlooks

Opt Out
August 5, 2020
Beal is opting out of the 2020 campaign, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Beal looked to have a real shot at kicking off the season as a starter, with Deandre Baker (personal) having been placed on the commissioner's except list, but he's ultimately decided to rejoin the team in 2021. He looked solid when called upon as a member of the Giants' secondary across six games in 2019, including three starts.

2019 Fantasy Outlook
Beal's entire rookie campaign was wiped out by a shoulder injury sustained during training camp, and now in his second go-round, the 6-foot-1 defensive back finds himself dealing with a hamstring issue that has withheld him from preseason play. When healthy, the 2018 Supplemental Draft choice will compete with Antonio Hamilton and Grant Haley for the Giants' No. 3 cornerback job behind Deandre Baker and Janoris Jenkins.
