2021 Receiving Projections
2020 Fantasy Outlook
Immediately after spending a second-round draft pick on Kmet, making him the first tight end selected this year, GM Ryan Pace noted that Kmet will be the inline (blocking) tight end while Jimmy Graham serves as the receiving option. In any case, tight ends selected after the first round of the NFL Draft very rarely have much fantasy value in their first season, and especially those who are ticketed to be blockers. Of course, the fact that Kmet may be close to a full-time player could lead to him getting a few targets each week, and there's a scenario where he scores a few touchdowns when the Bears are in their goal-line offense. Despite the possibility of the rookie seeing some production, it's very difficult to imagine a scenario in which he's a top-20 tight end option in fantasy leagues this year. Read Past Outlooks

Quiet in playoff debut
Kmet caught three passes for 16 yards in Chicago's 21-9 loss to the Saints in the wild-card round.
ANALYSIS
Kmet had all three of his receptions in the first half and wasn't heard from afterwards in a game the Bears were dominated in time of possession, resulting in limited opportunities. After being an afterthought in the offense through the first 12 games of the season, he was targeted at least six times in four of the last five regular-season games, ending the season with 29 receptions for 243 yards and two touchdowns. He'll enter 2021 in the second year of a four-year contract, and he'll likely be an emerging fantasy force as the team's lead tight end who's expected to play a three-down role.

The Eagles aren't likely to reach the playoffs in 2021, but they should be an interesting team for fantasy purposes, rebuilding around Jalen Hurts and Dallas Goedert on offense.

Jerry Donabedian dives into 2021 NFL best ball, picking 12th in his first draft of the year. With running backs flying off the board in the early rounds, there was value to be had at QB and WR.

Jerry Donabedian reads offseason tea leaves for every NFL team, including an up-and-coming Chargers squad that needs to make tough decisions on Hunter Henry and Mike Williams.

James Conner hasn't done much since October, but he still has the lead role in Pittsburgh's backfield, so he could be busy if the Steelers establish a lead over the Browns.
