2020 Fantasy Outlook
Williams enters his age 31 season coming off another quality campaign in the middle of Baltimore's defensive line. He played 536 snaps -- his most since 2016 -- though his production was in line with what he accrued in 2017 and 2018. Williams notched 34 tackles and a sack in 2019. While effective, Williams' impact is rarely felt on the stat sheet, which limits his viability in IDP formats. Read Past Outlooks

Williams (ankle) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday, Aaron Kasinitz of PennLive.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The 31-year-old missed Sunday's loss to the Titans with the ankle injury, but he'll now be on the COVID-19 list for at least five days as a high-risk close contact of an infected individual. Justin Ellis is poised for another heavy workload in Williams' absence Thursday versus the Steelers.

The first year of Williams' lucrative contract didn't quite go according to plan. An early-season foot injury cost him four games, and while his per-game production wound up being in line with his career norms, it was still a surprisingly quiet season from Williams that netted 30 total tackles and zero sacks. Still, Williams is in the prime of his career and when he's healthy, he's a disruptive force in the middle of Baltimore's defensive line. That role rarely results in quantifiable production, however, which does limit his IDP value. In all, Williams is a Pro Bowl-caliber player that's a better real-life contributor than a fantasy one.
The stalwart interior lineman returns to Baltimore after parlaying a strong start to his career into a five-year, $54 million contract. He's come a long way since being a third-round selection out of Missouri Southern State in 2013 to become one of the league's highest-paid defensive tackles. Williams has racked up 50 or more tackles in each of the last two years thanks to his ability to quickly get off the ball and shed blockers with strength and leverage. Because of his position and role as a 3-4 tackle, Williams shouldn't be counted on for gaudy statistical production, but he's able to make an impact on a weekly basis.
Since taking over as the Ravens’ starting nose tackle, Williams has been a quality run stuffer in the middle of the defense. He saw more snaps than any other defensive lineman in Baltimore last season, playing on 68.4 percent of the team’s snaps on that side of the ball. In 2016, Look for him to continue to build on his production from the past two years.
Williams returns as the Ravens' starting nose tackle.
Williams, a 2013 third-round draft pick, is expected to start at nose tackle.
Williams was selected in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft, and he could end up starting at nose tackle as soon as Week 1, which would allow Haloti Ngata to play his more natural defensive tackle position. Nose tackles rarely have IDP value, and Williams doesn't figure to be any different, even if he ends up winning a starting gig.
