After starting all 17 regular-season games with the Raiders last season, Van Roten was signed by the Giants in late July, and he'll have a chance to cement a starting role at right guard.
Van Roten is projected to retain his spot as the Jets' starting right guard, though he's now viewed as the weakest link on the team's revamped offensive line and will need to fend off challenges from Dan Feeney and Alex Lewis in camp.
