Satoshi Kodaira

32-Year-Old Golfer
2021–22 Fantasy Outlook
Kodaira's season resulted in more missed cuts than made ones, and he failed to record a top-10 in a season in which his Tour exemption was expiring following winning the RBC Heritage in 2018. He did show signs of improvement since May - recording four top-20s while gaining strokes off-the-tee and on approach for the season. However, unless Kodaira can earn his card through the Korn Ferry Tour finals, he'll likely only see a handful of starts on the PGA Tour. Read Past Outlooks
Joins Byron Nelson field
May 11, 2022
Kodaira was added to the field Wednesday for this week's AT&T Byron Nelson at TPC Craig Ranch.
ANALYSIS
The 32-year-old from Japan joins the field as a replacement for Brooks Koepka, who withdrew from the tournament. Kodaira most recently teed off at the Wells Fargo Championship last week, failing to make the cut after carding 73s on his first two rounds.

2018 Fantasy Outlook
Prior to last season, Kodaira had just nine starts on the PGA Tour. He made the cut in seven of those nine starts, but he failed to crack the top-25 in any start. That changed when he shocked the golfing world and won the RBC Heritage in April. That win changed his life as he was now exempt for two years on the PGA Tour. After his win, Kodaira failed to accomplish anything for the remainder of the season. Perhaps it was a let down after securing his card for the next two seasons or perhaps he played out of his mind for four days in April. Whatever the case, he'll have a lot of work to do this season just to get to his number from last season and since there is no history other than last season, he carries far too much risk entering this season.
