2025 Fantasy Outlook
After that elite 2021-22 rookie campaign that saw Young rank 15th in SG: Total and rack up seven top-three finishes, the last two seasons have been a bit more trying for the 27-year-old. Young ranked 74th and 81st the last two seasons in SG: Total, seeing big dropoffs in his short game and putting from his rookie year. That said, he did close last season having gained around the greens in seven straight. Young has the firepower to pile up birdies and eagles in bunches, but clearly there's still some refining needed to put him back in the conversation amongst the top American players. If you can get Young at the right value, there's potential for it to be paid off in a big way in 2025. Read Past Outlooks
Hoping to notch Ryder Cup spot
Young finished in a share of fourth place at the TOUR Championship after firing a four-under 66 in the final round.
ANALYSIS
Young continued his hot stretch of golf with a T4 showing at East Lake, his fourth straight top-11 finish. Young has been killing it of late both off the tee and with the putter, but this week he was also third in SG: Approach. He'll probably look back at his 71 in round three as to what was most to blame for him not challenging Tommy Fleetwood down the stretch for the FedExCup title. Nevertheless, Young put together a great finish to the season that has him squarely in the Ryder Cup conversation. Captain Keegan Bradley will make his selections on Wednesday and Young has to feel happy with the case he has made with this torrid last month of golf.

Young is one of the rare PGA Tour players that played in every elevated event this past season but saw his earnings go down. The reasons for that are two-fold. First, Young set the bar rather high in the previous season when he topped $6 million in earnings. The second reason is that he hit a bit of a rut between the Masters and the Open Championship. The good news is that he posted a top-10 at the Open Championship and played fairly well during the FedEx playoffs. Whatever the reason for the drop off, Young is far too talented to write him off for the upcoming season. His lowered number also makes him an interesting selection in salary cap leagues.
