Montgomerie played well in Europe last year, and he did pretty well in the majors and world events also. He finshed runner-up at the British Open, which counts toward PGA earnings, and he also played well during the late-season WGC events. Monty has never won in the states, and don't expect him to do so this year. But he has been known to challenge during the majors, so he's worth a look.
