Lamb has withdrawn his name from the field for this week's Barracuda Championship in order to play in the KC Golf Classic on the Web.com Tour, Rob Bolton of PGATour.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Lamb has missed three consecutive cuts on the Web.com Tour since a T5 at the Lincoln Land Championship, so he'll look to get back on track this week in Kansas. His next chance to return to the PGA Tour level could come at the Wyndham Championship in two weeks.

The long-hitting PGA Tour rookie made his hay with a third place finish at the John Deere Classic, accounting for over 60 percent of his annual earnings. When you look closer and realize he missed 11 of 19 cuts, the risk becomes too great to take a chance on the lefty, despite his relative youth. With plenty to work on outside of his strong advantage off the tee, Lamb should not garner much interest in fantasy leagues until he shows improvement.
Lamb played only 13 times on the Web.com Tour last season, but he won once, good enough to sneak into the 24th spot on the regular-season money list. He's never played a PGA Tour event, and he'll almost assuredly be heading back to the Web.com Tour after his rookie PGA season.
