Share of 60th at 3M Open
July 27, 2026
Gordon carded a four-under cumulative score at the 3M Open to finish tied with Sam Stevens for 60th.
ANALYSIS
Gordon's three-under 68 opening round turned out to be his best score of the tournament, as he proceeded to produce a 70-72-70 scorecard over the next three days. He finished in the top-30 in SG: Approach but also ranked outside the top-50 in SG: Around and Off-the-Tee and scrambling. Gordon has bounced back and fourth between the Korn Ferry and PGA Tours this season but hasn't had much success in either stream, outside of a solo fifth at the Abaco Classic on the KFT in January. He's listed in the field for the Utah Championship on the Korn Ferry Tour, as well as an alternate for the PGA's Rocket Classic.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
2020
Gordon ended a streak of five consecutive missed cuts with a rebound of three made cuts in the Fall segment, earning over $194,000 in the process. It's an encouraging sign for Gordon, beginning another season with his Tour card after finishing 100th in the 2023 FedEx Cup rankings. This could be the year where Gordon puts it all together, as he is excellent off the tee and a superb ball striker, but he needs to string together some decent putting performances to be a difference-maker this season.
Gordon won the first leg of the Korn Ferry Tour Finals at the Albertsons Boise Open to secure his PGA Tour card for the 2022-23 season, having collected six top-10 finishes in 24 events played on the KFT in 2022. He spent the 2020-21 season with status on the PGA Tour, though he tallied only two top-25 results in 31 starts en route to a finish of 159th in the FedExCup standings. This past season on the KFT, however, Gordon ranked fifth in driving distance, eighth in ball striking and 12th in birdie average.
Gordon earned his card for the upcoming season by accumulating enough FedEx points in just a handful of starts under the non-member category, but after he gained that status, his play fell off dramatically. Gordon looks to be the real deal, but his struggles immediately after gaining status are a little concerning. Gordon will also have to navigate being a rookie on the PGA Tour this season, which can be difficult with so many eyes on you. With that in mind, look for Gordon to have a productive, yet unspectacular season.
