Ilya Safonov News: Dealt for future considerations

Vancouver acquired Safonov from Chicago on Saturday in exchange for future considerations.

Safonov had seven goals and 15 assists in 51 regular-season games for Ak Bars Kazan of the KHL in 2024-25 before adding five points in 13 playoff outings. He signed a one-year contract extension with the KHL club in May.
