2025 Fantasy Outlook
Raymond broke out in 2023-24 with 31 goals and 72 points across 82 appearances, and he largely repeated that result last season, supplying 27 markers and 80 points across 82 outings. His shooting percentage did dip significantly from a career high of 19.0 in 2023-24 to 14.1 last campaign, but he mostly compensated by setting a new personal best in shots with 192. Raymond also really stepped up with the man advantage in 2024-25 with a career-high 37 power-play points, more than doubling his previous campaign’s total (16), even if it didn’t lead to that big of a jump in overall production. In all, he’s proven to be a great top-line option for Detroit, and he might still have a bit more upside to unlock given that he’s just 23 years old. Read Past Outlooks

Provides two helpers
Raymond dished out two assists and blocked a shot in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Oilers.
ANALYSIS
Raymond returned to the Red Wings' lineup after missing two games with an upper-body injury. He picked up where he left off with two assists, helping both of his linemates, Dylan Larkin and Emmitt Finnie, find a goal. The 23-year-old Raymond is up to three assists and five points through four games this season. Raymond is fresh off a career year in 2024-25 after posting 53 assists and 80 points. While he's off to another solid start, Raymond has just four shots on net and hasn't posted one in either of the last two games. His lack of shots is something to monitor, but shouldn't be a large concern as he posted a career high of 192 attempts on net a year ago. While the upper-body injury he recently recovered from could play into his lack of shot attempts, Raymond has played in all but 10 games since making his debut in the 2021-22 season and should continue to ramp up his play. With Larkin and rookie standout Finnie on his line, Raymond should push to finish above 70 points for the third straight season.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
2022
When the Red Wings took Raymond with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, they knew they had a potential star on their hands. It took him some time to get there, but Raymond delivered on that promise in 2023-24, setting career highs with 31 goals and 72 points across 82 contests. It certainly doesn't hurt that Raymond tends to play alongside Dylan Larkin at even strength, which is an arrangement that's likely to continue this season with either Alex DeBrincat or free-agent addition Vladimir Tarasenko likely to round out that line. In a position to succeed and with both the talent and experience to take advantage, the 22-year-old Raymond should do well in his fourth NHL campaign. It wouldn't be surprising to see him even reach the 40-goal and 80-point milestones this season.
