Askarov allowed four goals on 14 shots in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Kings.

It was a pair of fourth-liners and two defensemen who carried the offense. Askarov continues to offer subpar goaltending, though this is part of the growing pains as the Sharks attempt to become more competitive. He is 1-4-1 with a 4.69 GAA and an .844 save percentage this season. The Sharks host the Devils on Thursday.
