Noah Gregor

Noah Gregor

27-Year-Old CenterC
Florida Panthers
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Following a move at the trade deadline last year, Gregor evidently didn't show the Sharks enough to earn a qualifying offer from the organization that drafted him back in 2016. Instead, the 27-year-old center will have to earn his way onto the Panthers' roster in training camp by way of a professional tryout agreement. In his 52 regular-season tilts with the Senators and Sharks last year, the Alberta native managed just four goals -- all with Ottawa -- and three assists. Even if Gregor does make the team in Florida, it will likely be on a two-way deal that will allow him to move between the NHL and AHL, and he figures to be a bottom-six option when not serving as a healthy scratch in the press box. Secures one-yer deal

Gregor inked a one-year, two-way contract with Florida on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Gregor parlayed his training camp tryout into a full NHL contract with the Cats. The 27-year-old forward appeared in 52 regular-season games last year for the Senators and Sharks in which he garnered four goals, three assists and 60 shots. The Alberta native's chances of making the team likely improved when Aleksander Barkov went down with a season-ending knee injury. Look for Gregor to fill a bottom-six role for Florida this year when he's not in the press box as a healthy scratch.

Past Fantasy Outlooks

2020
Gregor recorded six goals, 12 points, 17 PIM and 147 hits in 63 regular-season contests with Toronto in 2023-24. He was used primarily in a fourth-line capacity and will likely serve in a similar role with the Senators, who inked him to a one-year, $850,000 contract over the summer. Under that kind of workload, the 26-year-old isn't likely to reach the 20-point mark, though he should at least surpass the 100-hit milestone for the third time in four years.
Gregor managed just eight goals and 11 points in 58 games over his first two NHL seasons combined, but he took on a significantly increased role for the Sharks in 2021-22, finishing with eight goals and 23 points in 63 games. That's the good news. The bad news is that Gregor still doesn't see much power-play time and finished the year with a minus-21 rating. Gregor won't turn 25 years old until late January, but there isn't any real fantasy value here unless you play in a league with extremely deep rosters.
Gregor collected five points and 50 hits in 28 contests for the Sharks last year, his first at the NHL level. A natural center, Gregor shifted to the wing and occasionally saw top-six usage toward the end of the campaign. Entering 2020-21, nothing's guaranteed regarding Gregor's spot in the lineup, but he has a good chance to at least play a bottom-six role. His physicality is a plus, but fantasy managers will want much more point production to fill out their rosters, making Gregor a no-go in the virtual game.

Practicing Monday
CFlorida Panthers  Minors
October 6, 2025
Gregor, who is in camp on a PTO, was on the ice for Monday's practice session, George Richards of Florida Hockey Now reports.
ANALYSIS
While Gregor was on the ice with the Panthers, fellow PTO signee Tyler Motte was not, which could be an indication that Gregor won the competition for an NHL contract. Still, the team likely will wait to see what happens with waivers Monday before finalizing a decision regarding both PTO players. If Gregor does make the Opening Night roster, he figures to slot into a fourth-line role and could spend plenty of time watching from the press box as a healthy scratch.
