2026 Fantasy Outlook
While he was a regular in 2025-26, Johansson's production wasn't much better than his rookie year. He put up three goals, eight assists, 93 blocked shots, 56 hits, 61 shots on net and a minus-18 rating over 82 contests. At 25 years old, it doesn't look like there's a ton of scoring potential for Johansson. He'll likely be a bottom-four option again in 2026-27, and it's tough to see him earning more than 15 points. Combine the lack of offense with fairly modest non-scoring production, and there's little reason for most fantasy managers to roster him throughout the year. Read Past Outlooks
Nets opening goal Sunday
Johansson tallied a goal in Sunday's 5-4 loss to Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Johansson found the back of the net just under two minutes into regulation Sunday. He is up to three goals, a career-high 10 points, 58 shots on net, 53 hits and 89 blocked shots through 77 games this season. The 25-year-old blueliner offers solid category coverage and could make an impact in dynasty fantasy leagues if he continues to develop offensively over the next few seasons.

2025 Fantasy Outlook
Johansson is the latest Swedish import to skate into Detroit’s lineup, and while no one’s calling him the next Nicklas Lidstrom, he showed flashes of that same calm and relaxed demeanor with the puck on his stick during his rookie campaign. He’s battling for a role on the third-pairing to start the season, which limits his immediate fantasy value, but there’s some intrigue if he sneaks onto the point of the second power-play unit. He’s not someone you need to target in standard drafts, but if his role grows, especially with the man advantage, he should start beeping on the fantasy radar. For now, keep an eye on the 2019 second-rounder, but he probably shouldn't be a draft-day selection.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could be key blueliner
Max Bultman of The Athletic pondered Friday whether Johansson could be an X-factor on the Red Wings' blue line for 2025-26.
ANALYSIS
Johansson had a quiet rookie year with nine points in 61 contests, but youth is on his side. The 24-year-old blueliner should be a regular in the lineup again, and he has far more room to grow than veterans like Justin Holl, Erik Gustafsson or Travis Hamonic. Johansson probably won't be much of a fantasy option unless his offense takes a significant step up, but his playing time should be steady.
