Considering Steeves has logged just seven career NHL games over the last three seasons, fantasy players probably shouldn't be expecting him to suddenly secure a full-time NHL gig -- especially having signed a one-year, two-way contract in the offseason. Undrafted out of the University of Notre Dame, the 24-year-old center has put up impressive numbers in the minors, including racking up 27 goals and 30 assists in 65 regular-season games with the Marlies last year. In dynasty formats, the Minnesota native might be worth stashing but should probably be passed over in re-draft formats. ANALYSIS
With the Marlies eliminated from the 2025 Calder Cup Playoffs, the Maple Leafs have plenty of extras with the team during the NHL postseason. Steeves had one goal, one assist, seven shots on net and 19 hits in seven appearances with the big club during the regular season. However, none of these players will likely see playoff action for the Maple Leafs unless there is a significant run of injuries.
